We know how important it is to amplify the voices and stories of those in our community. The warriors featured here have been to hell and back and live to tell the tale. They are formidable in their strength, resolve, and sheer grit. May we all find a piece of ourselves in their narratives and feel some comfort and support in knowing that we are not alone.
Had I listened to the statistics, I would have been paralyzed by fear. I chose to write my own story and hold on to hope. Preserving my eggs, essentially bought me time, and allowed for my medical team to make a more accurate diagnosis which ultimately saved my life.
